Rush service
PDQ makes the first attempt on every job within 48 hours of receiving it, at no extra charge. When service has to happen on a particular day or at a particular time, that's a custom rush.

Two speeds
Every job
Every document that comes in is treated as a rush. The first attempt happens within 48 hours of receipt, and attempts continue until service is made. Included in regular service.
When the clock is exact
Service on a specific day, or inside a specific window: before a hearing, at a known appointment, the one morning someone is sure to be home. Flat rate, listed on the pricing page.
When firms ask for a custom rush
Most deadlines are covered by the standard 48-hour first attempt. Custom rushes usually come in for one of these:
If someone is only reachable during a narrow window and it takes waiting to catch them, that's a stakeout, billed by the hour. See difficult serves.
How a custom rush works
01
For a custom rush, a phone call beats an email. We'll go over the address, the day or time you need, and anything that could get in the way.
02
Send PDFs to pdqlegalservices@yahoo.com. We print them here, so nothing has to be couriered. The first 50 pages are free.
03
The attempt happens on the day or in the window you asked for.
04
An email goes out as soon as service is made, or as soon as something gets in the way. The notarized affidavit follows within one business day of service.
Straight answers
If a rush can't realistically be done by your deadline, you'll hear that before we take the job, not after. Same if the address looks bad or the person is known to dodge service.
That way you still have time to make another plan.
From a client
“He gets the job done no matter what time of day or night, no matter what the location, and communicates throughout the entire process… if I ask him to serve a Complaint, it will get done without me having to follow up every day to see how the process is going.”
