What we serve
PDQ has been serving subpoenas for law firms since 2003. Most of what comes in falls into a few groups:
The job is the same every time. The right person gets the subpoena early enough to matter, and you get proof that they did.
Two things we take off your plate
When a witness fee check has to be tendered with the subpoena, we cover it and add it to your invoice. Nobody at your office has to cut a check and get it to us before we can go out.
If your subpoena was issued in one state and the witness is in another, it usually has to be domesticated first. We handle that step. The cost depends on the state and the court, so pricing is available on request.
Before you send it
01
A PDF is fine. We print it here, and the first 50 pages are free.
02
The witness or custodian's name, the best address you have, and anything else that helps: work hours, a second address, a description.
03
The appearance or production date, so we know how much room there is. If it needs to happen on a specific day, ask about a custom rush.
04
Tell us if a witness fee has to go with it, or if the subpoena still needs to be domesticated. We'll take care of either one.
How it goes
Every subpoena is treated as a rush. If the date is tight, you hear that before the first attempt, so you can plan around it.
Status updates go to your email directly from the server while the job is open. Attempts continue at different times of day until the subpoena is served.
Once the subpoena is served, the notarized affidavit comes back within one business day. Guaranteed. If it can't be served, you get an affidavit of due diligence instead.
From a client
“He gets the job done no matter what time of day or night, no matter what the location, and communicates throughout the entire process… if I ask him to serve a Complaint, it will get done without me having to follow up every day to see how the process is going.”
